How it all began
Will’s journey began with a trip to a hospital in Dayton, Ohio, to quietly watch over Madeline, a beloved grandmother, following an extremely serious car accident.
When her son, Paul, got the call about the accident, he quickly plucked a stuffed animal from his children’s wicker toy basket, placed it on the dashboard of the family van, and made the four-hour trip to Dayton.
The stuffed animal was delivered to Madeline—and remained with her through her five-month hospital stay. He gave visitors something to talk about during the day—and also provided comfort when her family had to leave the hospital each night.
Once Madeline recovered, this beloved stuffed animal continued to travel, visiting other friends and family members who were facing their own medical or personal challenges. The more he traveled, the more meaning he seemed to carry to the next person along the way.
And, whenever he returned home for a visit, he arrived with great stories of love and courage to share.
After many years of bringing comfort to a small group of family and friends, it was clear that he needed to be shared with the world. That is why we created "Will Found A Way."
